Same problem but not found a solution. Sometimes the software doesn't boot up properly on starting the car. When it fails to start i think it automatically reboots. In doing that I've noticed that the phone is no longer paired. Not 100% sure it is that, but I've not come up with any other...

I got mine from Chorley and felt the sales person was really good (not often you say that!). Also, they pointed out that as a local government officer or NHS I could have a discount and free colour upgrade. Saved me £1600 in all and if they'd kept schtum I wouldn't have known any different.
