    MG4 Trophy Coasting

I agree here, Ev coasting is neither of those, we can press the pedal if we need power. The points for me are 1. I don't have to have my food on that pedal all the time in the city. 2. I can drive and use less power while driving, regen is not 1-1 some of the kinetic energy you have to build up...

    MG4 Trophy Coasting

How on earth does coasting cause accidents?? Please explain.. Have you even tried coasting in an ev? And no its not the same as an fuel car. But the idea is that you don't have to use the pedal all the time while in the city for an example. Try it in an ev and you would be amazed..

    MG4 X-Power waiting area

Exactly! I hope that the Xpower could be an upgrade for my E-Golf, but I think the non-coasting mode could be a dealbreaker, but we'll see when it arrives in DK..

    MG4 Trophy Coasting

Why would MG not make a coasting mode available? It gives a higher efficiency and you can relax your foot now and then.

    MG4 X-Power waiting area

Coasting IS more efficient, regen is not 1 to 1, and there is a loss, so coasting will get you higher efficiency. So just to confirm, coasting is not possible in an MG4? And hungry? Bowfer, yes it it uncanny! :D That is one of the best thing about EV's :D

    MG4 X-Power waiting area

I have an E-golf atm. and I LOVE the coasting, you can relax with the right food now and then, but with regen, you have to have the food on the pedal or the car will brake :/ Do you know if the general MG4 save the custom driver settings from drive to drive? That would be a workaround for me :)

    MG4 X-Power waiting area

Do any of you know if the Xpower model is able to save the preset driving settings? Or does it at least save the custom mode settings? And is it possible to completely disable regeneration, so the car will just coast when lifting the pedal?
