    Dashcam install

Mine’s been hardwired from the fuse box since early March. No problems with battery, and car has been left a few days unused on several occasions.

Wireless CarPlay in Trophy - These Settings Seem To Work?

It was turning on the ‘background’ tab that fixed mine. You might try toggling this and/or the ‘sync mode’

Wireless CarPlay in Trophy - These Settings Seem To Work?

Digging around a bit more and it seems that ‘knob mode’ only applies to Android Auto, not Apple CarPlay, so you’re not missing anything useful.

Wireless CarPlay in Trophy - These Settings Seem To Work?

OK, so after a few different attempts, and two different wireless adapters, I think I’ve got wireless CarPlay working as well as it can in my Trophy. The adapter I’m using is a CarLinkit 4.0, model CPC200-CP2A Connected to car using instructions provided - connect Bluetooth, connect to Wi-Fi...

    Dashcam install

Just fitted a Road Angel Halo Go, following the excellent advice and instructions on here. One pedal drive mode issue @100%

Having come from a Tesla, where OPD was on by default, I can confirm that at high states of charge even that had to ‘coast’ as there was nowhere for any generated energy to be stored. Once the state of charge drops to a suitable level, OPD should be available again.

    MG4 vs Tesla Model 3

Apparently Tesla won't release their full shutdown procedure to independents, who then say that health and safety stops them working on a ‘live’ car. I had a minor scratch on mine, and Chipsaway wouldn’t even consider looking at it. Many insurance companies insist on Tesla doing it as well.

    MG4 vs Tesla Model 3

I’m still on a few of the Tesla forums after selling my Model 3. One of the biggest topics is the ridiculous repair costs from Tesla. The guy who posted this photo was quoted £3,400 to fix. …. and this is just one example, there are loads like this.

    MG4 vs Tesla Model 3

Just sold my Model 3 after almost 4 years of ownership. Now bought a Trophy LR, which is, as far as I’m concerned, the better car. Tesla was a leader for the technology it brought to driving, but most other manufacturers have at least caught up, if not surpassed it. All I miss from the Tesla...

    Enormous depreciation?

Of course, the other side of the coin means that it’s a little easier / cheaper to buy one…. I’ve just bought a 3 month old refreshed Trophy with 1300 miles on it for just over £25k - from a main MG dealer. My Tesla that I just sold lost £19k in the 3 1/2 years I had it. Swings and roundabouts…….
