MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

I wouldn't advise that anyway, when my low battery warning comes up the power is reduced to between 20 & 40 percent, at 20 percent its not nice to drive and could be dangerous

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

So I have an update, ive just picked my car up from Toomey MG and the engineer has finally got back to him, he has acknowledged that there is an issue with the BMS software update and they are working on a fix, in the meantime the existing BMS update has been pulled and will not be available...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

447 volts is much nearer to what its supposed to be, if you left it to balance i suspect you would be nearer the 450-455. The main point is how many miles you are acfially getting from a full charge, ultimately that's the most important thing. And yes your right it should probably have its own...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

I've just seen this on the mg group on Facebook, it seems its finally been accepted as a bms software issue. This it what the member put. 442 volts is too low for a fully charged battery. GOM means nothing. Your battery should display 455 volts when fully charged. Recent BMS software updates...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

Its when fully charged you need to check it Jake, you should hopefully have 450-455v when fully charged, if you could update us all when you next fully charge it that could be helpful, it seems its the pre updated bms cars that have the better range and higher voltage displays

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

Thanks for the apology Mark, there is no need mate No offence was taken 👍. unfortunately there are people out there that do exaggerate (not MG Owners lol), and along with all the other owners that are getting good range its easy for us to think its just the odd few making a big deal out of...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

Thanks for your support Mark, it is a damn shame because its such a nice car otherwise, unfortunately MG have pulled the update at present which would suggest they are aware of an issue, the techs at Toomey MG said that they could try re uploading the BMS software incase there was a problem with...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

Mark id welcome you to drive my car and see for yourself, I am certainly not blowing anything out of proportion and im guessing you are getting 100 miles plus from your car? Its very easy to judge and make assumptions but you have to experience it to make an honest judgement, thats not a dig at...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

I would say you've likely had all the updates (barring the battery heater). Mine is 6 weeks old and im suffering with really poor range and it is looking more and more like a bms software issue, you would likely of had the same update so you should just keep an eye on it, check the voltage once...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

I'd strongly advise you not to until they get to the bottom of the problem, it doesn't sound like much but 30-40 miles range less than the majority are getting is really inconvenient at best and unusable in my situation

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

I really do like the car but 70 miles is no good to me, I need at least that to get to work and back. Hopefully they will come up with a fix asap

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

Mines just been taken for a test drive by Toomey MG, he covered 54 miles and there is 2 bar left on the battery, so I'm looking at around 70-75miles total range going by those figures, he hopes to take it out again this afternoon to run down to empty or there abouts, then they'll report back to...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

I may end up Perkins myself, I've upset the sales manager at basildon as I'd placed an order but later retracted it due to my wife having a work scare, all ended well but by the time I knew her job was safe id had a much better offer from Luscombe. Trouble is now I have a problem the sales team...

Hi Mike, whats stranger is that I have ot had the battery heating update done on my car, and yet according the the technician it looks like its running all the time?, the reply from the senior tech at head office was that is normal for the current temperature, I completely disagree, 0°c isn't...

MG Europe Battery Heater Update (released to Norwegian ZS EV owners on 30th Dec 20)

Hi, im wondering if thats the issue with mine? I have had it 5 weeks but the last couple of weeks I've been getting diabolical range, Wednesday was 100% to --- empty and I got 82 miles, Thursday was 100% to --- empty and I got 73 miles, I barely made it home. Its been into MG both of those days...
