We have had the same issue, my MG ZS EV (2019 version) displayed 'Vehicle Control System Fault' and 'HV Battery Shut Off' while I was driving, it then turned off and would not turn on again, phoned MG Assist but they took 48 hours from first call to actually delivering car to MG Dealership...

Thanks for your advice, removed the black box and problem went away.

I have checked with my local MG Dealer and they didn't have any ideas.

What do you think could be the cause of the issue with our alarm sounding after locking the car? Any advice on how we resolve?

Yes, our insurance black box which we are required to have plugged in 24/7. If that was causing the problem though would the alarm not off every time we lock the car rather than just sometimes?

We have this exact same issue. when we lock it (either by using the lock button in the wireless key, or by pressing the lock button on the drivers door) and then walk away, the alarm sounds about 30 seconds later and we need to then press the lock button again.. any tips on how we can avoid this...
