Nothing new to report. Still waiting for Motor Ombudsman to initiate the arbitration it's agreed to conduct.. I've chased them but no response to that either.

The vehicle ombudsmen has agreed to arbitrate my case against MG arguing the update required to enable some ZSs to use open Tesla chargers should be free. The ombudsmen agreed to pursue this about a month ago, but heard nothing since. I will update forum members once I have a judgement.

Of course it's the dealer charging, but only because MG won't reimburse them for the cost of the update. Not sure why the MG4 situation is relevant to a ZS. The MG4 was compatible with Tesla chargers from the day it was launched.

If you've got the ismart app installed then open it, click on the three lines in the top left corner, then click on charging management. That will take you to the screen above. Then press and hold the triangle below the battery and move it to the charge you want.

I was surprised and amazed when I got the same reply about the same update to my ZSEV. There are at least 2 of us with ZSEVs who have put the matter to the vehicle ombudsmen.

When I contacted them in September MG customer service told me the necessary update was to the EVCC. No mention was made of the other modules. That may be for my car only though.

You are indeed very lucky. From what others have reported your dealer will be charged by MG for the necessary update so it will be costing your dealer money. Only a few tens of pounds no doubt, but that's what's so frustrating about this whole thing

Tell the garage to put the matter to MG if they've not done so already. I've just had an instance (steering wheel) where the dealer gave me entirely wrong advice about the warranty

My experience is that the Aircon is pretty poor, especially when it's hot outside. Asked for it to be checked during first service. Apparently it's within spec!

We will see (although not for about 6 months and then only if the motor ombudsmen agrees to take the case on) whether your view of the scope of the warranty is correct. Clearly MG doesn't think so.

I did take a quick look at the warranty. I couldn't find any section where these circumstances are covered,. But, I may have missed it.
