MG HS PHEV Panoramic Sunroof Leaking

Hi Everyone, I just picked up my 2020 PHEV from service - it took 4 weeks and 22 hours of labour to strip / dry the car and 2 parts replaced (rear wiper motor and BCM) to resolve damage caused by the sunroof leak. It was probably going on quite a long time unnoticed until I came back from 2...

Welcome to the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid forum - MG HS PHEV Information

Out of respect for the source I can't copy text and photos here but the gist of it is that the mirror is on two knuckle joints so apart from the normal adjustment the mirror housing can also be moved up and down. The original poster recommends letting MG do that adjustment though as the joints...

Welcome to the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid forum - MG HS PHEV Information

Hi Everyone. I thought I'd mention this in case some of you are not in the MG HS Owners UK group on Facebook (I recommend it by the way). So one of the gripes that come up often is the position of the rear view mirror. Incredibly, there is a double knuckle joint which allows the mirror to go up...

Welcome to the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid forum - MG HS PHEV Information

I'm using granny charger exclusively and it takes about 6 hours to fully charge. I think I normally see something like 5h 50m remaining when the battery is close to zero. Regarding the heater. I would suggest that you search / browse this forum because this topic has been covered extensively in...

Welcome to the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid forum - MG HS PHEV Information

Hello. Here you have the full spec sheet for both Excite and Exclusive - MG HS Plug-in Hybrid | Hybrid SUV. Definitely worth getting exclusive for the sunroof, electric tailgate, full leather interior, electrically adjusted seats and a few other bits. In terms of likes and dislikes. For me the...

Anti fog window spray versus aftermarket tint

Thank you everyone for taking the time to give advice and reply to my post. In the meantime I may have located a product that should be safe to use on tinted glass pending a test on a small area - Anti-Fog Windscreen Treatment - Invisible Glass The official product page does not mention tint...

Anti fog window spray versus aftermarket tint

Every window in its corner where the text is has a designation of the level of tint so you can sent a photo to your man and he'll be able to tell if your windows are fully transparent too or not. If they are fully transparent you will pretty much cook in the summer ;)

Anti fog window spray versus aftermarket tint

Thanks. Yes all windows are tinted including the windscreen. Obviously rear ones are darker as there's no legislation in Ireland regarding the level of tint. The front windows and the windscreen could only be lightly tinted. But definitely had to be done. Only had maybe one or two drives in a...

Anti fog window spray versus aftermarket tint

Hi All, Got the windows tinted in my PHEV this week and, while the dealer-endorsed company did a really good job, they looked at me like I had three heads when I asked them about a product for tinted windows to prevent fogging up. As most of us who live in Ireland / UK probably know, HS PHEV...

Welcome to the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid forum - MG HS PHEV Information

Personally I don't have access to charging facilities (Ireland lags behind) and I cannot install a wallbox. If I did and I could - I would definitely buy fully electric because that is surely the future. More recently, with the current fuel situation, I'm glad I drive a PHEV but would be even...

    RELAIBILITY????

I got my 1 year old HS PHEV second hand from a dealer here in Dublin with approx 17000 km on it. The car apparently belonged to MG exec who drove it loads. I could not believe the quality of the car after such relatively heavy utilisation in a short time. It's literally like brand new. There...

    Cant open petrol cap

Oh myyy. Agreed with the above - I love this forum too. I only bought petrol twice so far and both times couldn't understand the complicated fuel door system but also didn't think to look in the manual. Every other car I've had, as long as the car was unlocked, I pushed the fuel door in and it...

    Momentary electric tailgate crisis !

Sorry for digging up ancient posts but this has happened to me too just today. I thought I will need to make a trip to the dealer but similar to others, the tailgate fixed itself. In my case the only thing out of the ordinary was the fact that I left the car unlocked and went to the shop (forgot...

Welcome to the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid forum - MG HS PHEV Information

Hey everyone. A fresh owner of a HS PHEV since last week here. I have to say I'm absolutely freaking annoyed. It's just such a frustrating situation and I'm running out of patience and will to live. I work from home and cannot find enough excuses to drive the car. My wife commutes to the office...

Public Charging - Very very slow!

That is very odd. I just had my first trip to the public charger and the first one I tried showed that it's charging on the driver's display but no ETA came up and it didn't look like it's actually delivering power. But I tried another side of the same charger and it worked like a charm. Could...

Frank Keane MG - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

I got a second hand MG HS PHEV from them, late 2020 model, with 17000km on it. Excellent service from the dealer so far although there was a bit of a delay with getting the car ready. But from the deposit payment to collection of the car it was all done in less than 2 weeks. They have fabulous...

In Line Timer & Granny Charger?

I have a bunch of smart plugs from Dealz (Irish Poundland) made by Ultrabrite and use them extensively around the house with Alexa. I was thinking to use it with the granny charger so I don't have to leave it plugged in for longer than needed, set a timer, switch it off when I'm away from home...

    Updates?

Having your phone plugged in and Apple CarPlay on is exactly what you need for that voice control button to work :) Once you press it you should see a sphere effect on the screen. You can then speak commands and your phone will execute them and show on the screen. Like "call John", "navigate to...

    Updates?

Thank you all for the answers. I'm now in touch with my dealer cause my car is definitely out of date and they assured me that the software was updated during service which obviously did not happen. @ColinB - the voice control button on your steering wheel is the equivalent of saying Hey...
