    Vehicle Control System Fault error

You might like to look out for a 12V battery drain problem - I have this problem when charging at home with my AC fast charger. I fitted a 12V battery monitor and through this got confirmation of the drainage issue. I'm not sure of the cause with mine, but my workaround is to unplug the car as...

    MG4 in Australia

Re difficulties getting fast charger apps to work, I recommend getting at least one RFID card. It eliminates any internet connection problems and gets the charge going immediately. You can add RFID access for other services to the one card. See other posts about this.

Any positive reviews MG ZS EV

I found this information useful. You can get one RFID card and add other RFID details for other companies to the one card.

    ZS ev infotainment instructions

Hi Mick. If you click on the link, you'll be taken to the webpage where you can scroll through the models and download the official manuals. But there is not one for the entertainment centre.

    MG ZS 12v battery SoH

Fitting a 12V battery monitor is also a good idea. Then you'll really see how the 12V battery is behaving, and can be forewarned if there are any issues building up.

Car dead after 2 weeks, won't open

Hi there, I'm visiting from the MGZS forum. I don't recall seeing anything in the MGZS manual about going into a deep sleep. Do you know if this applies to the ZS, and do you have a reference for it? Thanks.

    12v battery

Thanks so much for sharing this idea @Lovemyev. Following another recent 12V battery failure I installed a 12V battery monitor. Data from the couple of weeks since then has shown a consistent drain on the 12V battery occurs between when the car (Mark 2) is fully charged and when it is unplugged...

12V Battery charge low - do not park for more than 3 days.

I was pleased to find that the BM12V battery monitor stores its records and gives the app the history when it reconnects. Nice. I was also pleased to see that whenever I challenge the 12V (by doing an iSmart scan, for example) it returns to its original charge. So, after a day of monitoring...

12V Battery charge low - do not park for more than 3 days.

Thanks, that's what I'm now starting to think, it might be the charger [EO Hub 7/22kW, installed 2020]. The 12V battery was so flat I couldn't get it going myself with my SJS Jumpstarter. Called roadside assistance, he measured the voltage as Zero. Once he'd booted it up, all was fine, the...

    12v battery

I guess you would have to pair your phone to the BM2 on an ongoing basis. My phone is usually paired to my BT headset which I use a lot. So I don't think this would work for me, sadly.

12V Battery charge low - do not park for more than 3 days.

Tks, I think it usually does, I'll check again when I get the car going again tomorrow.

12V Battery charge low - do not park for more than 3 days.

I'm gutted to find that my Mark 2 has AGAIN become a brick, the 12V battery must be flat again. This is after leaving it attached to the 7kW charger at home for only two days!!!! I think this is ridiculous. It is a brand new battery, it was replaced after a series of quick flattenings earlier...

It sounds like the 12 V battery is failing, as @Gadget Geek said.

    iSmart app

Mine regularly doesn't connect when at home but I think in this case the reason is that the car is in a basement garage surrounded by lots of concrete walls etc and the signal is not getting through. When the vehicle is in other locations there is no problem connecting. Could something like...

Driving ZSEV LR in Europe. A bad idea? Advice please!

Plugshare is good as a second opinion on availability of chargers, and you can check on people's recent reports on how they are working. Get RFID cards where possible for the likely charger companies along your route. Just make a plan, with contingencies, and you'll be able to sleep at night. ;)

Two weeks in: I LOVE my ZS EV

If you run 12 volt items when the car is only in STANDBY mode and not in the fully READY mode, you will flatten the 12 volt battery. And I don't think you can charge while in READY mode. So I think you'll need to give up watching videos while charging :).

    12v battery losing charge

My service centre confirmed to me that Intelligent Charging should ensure that the 12V battery remains fully charged. i.e. the "transport" battery will top up the "house" battery, as required. There should be no need to specifically turn off HVAC etc when leaving the car. It should not be...

    12v battery losing charge

Sounds like a problem with the 12V battery. See if you can bring the dealer visit forward.
