    Android Auto

If you're spending £25k+ on a car, not having a £200+ smartphone is a choice.

    Android Auto

What is it you wanted to be able to do? It allows you to replicate a lot of things you can do on your phone - various navigation apps; podcasts; music; music streaming; Google Assistant etc. The odd thing is why manufacturers bother to create their own infotainment, especially navigation. Spend...

    Live & Connected Services Expiry.

Hence they never had a 2g network to get rid of, which was the original point

    Live & Connected Services Expiry.

3 never had a 2G network, it was 3G straight away which resulted in pretty poor coverage initially.

    MG4 Charging Cables

It depends. If you get a tethered wall box, it'll come with the cable. If it's untethered, it won't. Advantages/disadvantages to both.

    Ceramic Coatings

That's why we need the silver version - throw some water over it when you can't see out of the windows, job done. Paintwork will never look any different 😉

iPhone/iSMART App: Can the MG4 be set up for more than one person to simultaneously interact with?

What happens with the infotainment screen, particularly CarPlay/Android Auto? Does it just recognise whichever Bluetooth device it picks up? Current car is a pain to switch between devices so have ended up leaving it just paired with the wife's phone and I've put a Bluetooth speaker in a...

Octopus Energy, Joined on 12th October 2022, using my MG4 to power the house, 3.5kWh electricity purchased over the last three days.

1 - are you just using the V2L of the car to do it rather than the V2G that Octopus has tested recently? If so, how are you connecting that much stuff to the car? 2 - How are you powering the car? I get using it as a battery by charging for cheap overnight and then powering the home, but that...

Look what my MG4 attracted today

MG4 Reviews from various online publications

An equally kitted Niro is £10k more, but the outcome seemed to be I can afford it, so I'd pay it. Well a Model Y is only £10k more than the Niro, so why not go for that. By which point you'll be getting close to the G60... The current comparables for the MG4 are the ID3 and Born, size wise, or...

    SE SR vs Trophy

Go for the trophy as it has front indicators in a different position. Is that sensible, of course not, but it's a personal choice, hence we can't tell you what you really want. If you want an economic answer, keep whatever car you've currently got. Or if you want to make the most of the solar...

    MG4 Charging Cables

They do come with the granny as standard, however, supply issues have impacted the first vehicles, hence being given a type 2 as an alternative. It doesn't really matter, the car comes with one and you'll probably need to buy the other. Personally, I'd prefer the type 2 for use in supermarkets...

MG4 Trophy Focus Warning Alert (Fix incoming)

    First Impressions from Test Drive

Really? My first car was a 9 yr old Mk 2 Escort. Failed every MOT, rotting through everywhere, had to have a reconditioned engine at one point despite having done least than 70,000 miles at that point. My wife's car, and the current family one now we've gone to just one, is a 10 yr old Suzuki...

    Very disappointed

Were you really expecting the MG to be Audi quality? EVs still have about a £10k premium, so the SE is a £16k car if it had a petrol engine, as the ZS is. The seats don't sound great, but I think people are being unrealistic in what they're expecting. Have a look at what else you can get for...

    Trophy interior leather?

It's got nothing to do with vegan and everything to do with cost. And I suspect more environmentally damaging if anyone did the whole sums (assuming, as you say, the rest of the cow is used for food). Tesla were just very smart at marketing and have those coming from an Audi, Mercedes etc...

More to the point, does it impact the range?
