Police ram runaway electric iPace after brakes fail on M62 (debunked)

Why report “…to plead for help” when “…to request assistance” was probably more accurate 🙄

Delay paying £190 car tax on EV until April 2026 (action needed before the end of March 2024)

Retaxed today and made a donation of the same value to Cats Protection, they helped us recently with a stray we adopted 🐈🐈‍⬛ [other charities are available 🤣]

    Tricky Chargers

The whole precharge amount is strange. Why do some companies, e.g. Instavolt, precharge and others, e.g. Gridserve, do not? I have no app or account with Gridserve I just tap my credit card.

SAIC IM brand coming to UK 2025

I sincerely hope that they have a root and branch review of their quality assurance department! SAIC is to quality what Liz Truss was to being Prime Minister!

Zappi + Intelligent Octopus in beta

I was given slots between 21:30 and 22:00 and 22:30 to 04:30. I expected the car to stop charging at 22:00 but it continued charging, I assume that is billed at the lower rate?

Zappi + Intelligent Octopus in beta

I managed to sort it out today. During the sign-up process, Octopus asks what car you have and from that, it knows your battery size. This is confirmed in the FAQ when it states that entering the incorrect car may cause 'issues'. Very interesting API integration. When it works you can...

How did you managed to sign up? I have a Zappi charger but don’t see how to sign up.

What is the panels verdict on Zap-Map vs ABRP for route planning and route navigation?

    Why isn’t this a thing??

One of the basic rules of physics, energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change form e.g. from chemical (battery) to kinetic (moving car) etc

    Stopping at a Petrol Station

Completely agree, I did a large independent research project some years ago regarding the use of mobile handset/RF and flammable liquids and it was quite conclusive.

That’s the electrical equivalent of being ICE’d 🤣 We should name it being EV’d and all have a go.
