    HS PHEV Test Drive Advice

Hi, Good they have a selection to choose from. If you are in EV mode you will notice a slight pause in power delivery around 40 ish MPH, that's it changing gear. It has 4 gears for electric and 6 for the engine so 10 in total. When in hybrid mode it's generally pretty smooth (aside from a...

    HS PHEV Test Drive Advice

Hi, Not sure if it's a new or used car you are after, or if you are buying from an MG dealer. Obviously a new one from the MG network has less risk. I've seen reports of the drivers door switch that controls the windows and mirror playing up and on some exclusive models the stitching on the...

    Disappointed

Hi, I can understand your disappointment, most of the issues should have been picked up before delivery. However I'm sure your dealer can fix these, in perspective they are all fairly minor, just not nice to experience them at all, especially as it's a new car. Let them fix them, in the...

    Spare parts availability

Hi everyone, Quick update, car went away a second time, I was very clear about what I expected them to do. Took over a week but it returned looking much better. In the end it's back as it should be. All in not an experience I want to repeat, now chasing insurance for my excess back as other...

    Spare parts availability

Thanks for your comments, totally agree, I noticed the paint run from a distance when they dropped it off. Got the driver to go round with me and took photos, he agreed it wasn't good. When I called I asked why it had left in such a poor state? Also notified insurance company. Frustrated but...

    Spare parts availability

Hi everyone, Quick update, after quite a wait we got the car back yesterday. Unfortunately they have not repaired it properly, big paint run, chips, bonnet badly aligned, several paint scuffs and a small dent. Not impressed, due to go back early next month. Also the boot opened fine but...

    Spare parts availability

Thanks everyone, ETA for return is the 7th July. Assessment was new wing, wheel, tyre, front bumper etc. The tracking and alignment was ok. Going to have that double checked by MG dealer on return. Want it to be 100% as only a few weeks old. Fingers crossed there are no significant delays and...

    Spare parts availability

Hi, Thanks for your replies. The initial impact was to the wheel, suspect that needs checking and the suspension etc as it makes a funny noise and doesn't feel right. The other car then decided to move off rather than back up which caused the damage to the bodywork. I will take your advice...

    Spare parts availability

Hi everyone, Bad day last week, someone suddenly changed lanes leaving a roundabout and sideswiped our new car. The wing is torn, along with the front bumper and wheel arch surround. Likely to be more underneath. It's going in for repair next week, has anyone had experience on lead times for...

    Rear door stay bar grommets

Hi, Just noticed the grommets on both rear doors are just sitting on the support bar. By the look of them and the hole in the door it would appear they should be in the door to reduce water ingress. Can anyone confirm please? Many thanks.

    Little information required pls

Thanks John, So far very impressed. Also have a ZS EV. Charging earlier was only 1.5kw on my 7kw charger so trying to figure out why it wasn't 3.5kw as battery almost flat. Bound to be user error 😁.

    MPG

Hi, That's interesting, I actually have a webasto water heater in the CRV I'm replacing, maybe worth getting it taken out before it goes. I assume you are talking about the water heater and not the blown air. Had another go in the HS today, confirmed my order for a black exclusive, ETA...

    MPG

Hi, Looking for a family car to replace a petrol Honda CRV. I have a ZS EV which I really like, but the rear space is unfortunately not enough for our needs compared to the CRV. Last week I test drove a Kia e Nero and an HS, the HS really impressed aside from steaming up quite easily. The...
