When they rang me in August and said the car was unlikely to arrive until April 2023 I contacted a local MG dealership who had a 2022 MG5 Exclusive in stock. It had been a cancelled order. After a test drive, I cancelled the ZS and took the MG5 which, although not the car I wanted, I am happy with.

I try to make charging part of the trip/opportunity for a break etc but when you get there and find the charger isn’t working it’s very frustrating and like yours. my wife would rather be in her ICE!

Another near failure! I had a free charge with Bonnet and so made my way, (12 miles), to the nearest charger under their umbrella, an Osprey. Four attempts failed plus one not through the app. It connected and started once for about 30 seconds then stopped. Rang Osprey. Very nice lady could see...

McDonalds, Bognor and an Osprey at Barnfield Drive, Chichester and another I can’t remember the location of. We used a 7.4kwh at Tesco, Bognor but painfully slow, (all 3 in use) and the best was a rapid BP Pulse at Goodwood Hotel..

I spent a month in Scotland in our motorhome in March and April and loved it. Unfortunately, it was our last motorhome holiday as we decided the time had come to sell it! Not sure when / if we might be able to return!

Yes I have it. I found 1Pod Point rapid which wouldn’t work. I found an InstaVolt which worked at 66p kWh.

Our problem was that we were away for a few days in an area we didn’t know so were reliant on the apps.

I accept that overall it is cheaper but it’s the reliability of the infrastructure I’m more concerned with.

We’re new to EV’ing but I did download numerous apps in addition to Zap Map and had a good idea of where we would find charge points. Whether or not they were working when we got to them was another matter unfortunately.

I think the repayments would have been about the same due to price increases since I placed my original order last November but as I didn’t want a black car I didn’t go into it. The MG5 I’ve got is Westminster Silver and looks very nice!

They offered me a black MG5 on that basis but I didn’t want black!
