We had a minor crunch in the first week of September and despite 2 visits to the dealer, one to their nominated repair shop and several phone call reminders, as of Jan 8th I have yet to even get a quote, let alone get a part order in. Non-existent after-sales service, basically. Best of luck
Completely agree. Lovely though it is the MG5 is NOT an "estate car" - it's a hatchback, and should be advertised as such. Not even a particularly versatile hatchback - it's all I can do to get one bike in the back. My old diesel Peugeot 307 is what I call an estate car : did a trip to Utrecht...
According to the manual, MGPilot is activated either by switching it on via the infotainment system on the screen or "Operating the adaptive cruise control lever to 'resume' twice". (That is quite easy to do accidentally). That will "switch the MGPilot system to standby or active state"...
Absolutely agree with this niggle. The lane tracking function is alarming and annoying and not suited to winding British roads with worn lane markings - perhaps useful on motorways. It feels like you're fighting the car and you're not in control (which you aren't). It would be OK if you could...
Pity MG don't have a towbar for the MG5. The latest model supposedly does, but not the first model. It's an estate car, supposedly. You would think as 'estate' car would have the facility.
I really hate the controls for the MG Pilot lane control. I've had the car a month and every now and then I find I've turned it on accidentally (I think by pulling the beanstalk towards me twice instead of pushing it up twice when I want to increase cruise speed) and then, as the car steering...
