Charging using any AC ie not Rapid, charger is fine, Granny, home or destination chargers will all balance the cells. Each balance may take some hours so just leave on , and use it a bit the next day.

Huawei will not properly work with Android Auto, Google/Huawei do not play well. I have a Realme 7 now which works fine, my Mate 20 would not work.

I have been granny charging over 4 years, this is usually either a poorly wired socket, needs to be a direct from distribution board or strong ring main with nothing else on the ring using any power. Or a 10A rather than 13A extension.

The ZS comes in diesel and petrol versions, a larger battery may be required for Diesel engines. For the EV a non cranking leisure battery is probably better as you are more likely to suffer from charge loss than inability to 'crank' a small contactor.

I'm with the other fogies here, I find it easier to get in and out of an SUV than a lower saloon/estate. They both have their merits and the MG5 estate is a perfect Taxi, family runabout and work vehicle. A commercial van version would also see a sure market.

Not needed to get the latest conservative BMS, the original BMS settings should be fine. My 4 year old Leaf , even without battery cooling has less than 4% degradation, so no real issue.

I have had to granny charge for 41/2 years, Leaf then MG ZS, due to an 'impossible' install. I have a dedicated socket from my garage supply, no problems to date. Gets 2.2 kW so about 8 miles added per hour charging.

They also have 8 7kW type 2 chargers near the M&S entrance?
