Hi
I’ve upgraded my alloys twice
First to a different style of 16” using the original tyres
Second to 18”
The preference is yours
All you need to think about is the offset and wheel width
The bigger the wheel the lower profile tyre you will need to keep the Speedo accurate
My first upgrade...
Hi all
I’ve just fitted some 18” Wolfrace Assassins to my pre facelift MG5
So here’s a few photos
My old aftermarket alloys and tires are up for sale in the classifieds
Thanks to Miles for the info when he added 18” alloys on his MG5/ MG ZS

I did the mod more for the looks than function
They just have some small led bulbs in and wired to the dip beam
I went down the route of changing the headlight bulbs to night breakers when I got the car which seem a lot better than the oem ones
But as I say more for looks

Hi
I don’t think I’ll be putting speed holes in the car😂😂😂
Thanks
Yeah I try to make my cars a little different but not too over the top
I bought them from eBay...
Hi
Regarding the wheel studs just make sure they fit the wheel you are thinking of buying
There are tapered and domed bolts
As for the wheels themselves just be careful off the wheel width, diameter and offset

Hi all
Just a quick thing to note
Ask or find out how high the jack goes as I have a standard scissor jack that doesn’t lift the mg5 high enough so I found out that the 5 ton Jack I had in the shed does the job
REMEMBER THE MG5 HAS A FAIRLY HIGH GROUND CLEARANCE

Hi
Refitting the bumper is the complete reversal of removing it
My father always said if I know how to use a spanner and a screwdriver anything is possible
Nowadays it’s a lot easier to take photos of the removal process so you know how it goes back together
Also you don’t end up with screw’s...
No I don’t have a static caravan
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Just looking back on what I’ve done
I would say it would take about 4 to 5 hours for the full install that’s from taking the bumper off to wiring the lights up (and about £160 in costs with the lights, bulbs ,relay and wiring )
Maybe a little less...
Hi all
Today I decided to wire in the fog lights I fitted
I finally made my mind up and bought some small side light bulbs and wired the lights up to the dip beam
Photo below
I will take some later tonight when it gets darker
😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
