IMO it's like house-buying. The only factor that matters is the cost to change when you trade up or down. Intrinsic 'market value' is just a meaningless number.
My record low was 1.4 for a trip to the local shops. it included standing on the drive for the best part of 10 minutes with the heater & fan on full blast and the rear screen on while I scraped the ice off. It went up to about 1.8 by the time I drove back home again. (MG5 LR)

Maybe you aren't quite familiar with forum etiquette. People try their best to help by
answering questions from strangers. Sometimes they are a bit hasty and make a mistake. If you attack people who try to help you, people will just stop trying to help you.
The software status of the MG cars seems to be a closely guarded secret as far as I can make out. Even some dealers don't seem to know what's going on.
Not according to Viessmann (who make both gas boilers and heat pumps). They say (as do many other sources) that heat pumps are effective down to -20C. I don't know where you're getting your information from...
I'm pretty sure that's wrong. Norway is one of the biggest users of heat pumps to heat their homes.
Even very cold air still has heat energy in it. True, it can't be extracted as efficiently, but it's still there.
I tried using auto hold when I first got the car because it seemed like the perfect system - I soon got sick of the jerky starts every time I moved off though.
I once put it in reverse instead of drive in a queue of traffic at some lights - very scary when I started going backwards towards the car behind me. I've not done it again!
@gnutrino thanks for that insight - it makes sense of the apparently random way EV preauthorisation works with some providers.
However, some of the big players in EV charging (e.g. Gridserve) seem to have the pre-authorisation problem cracked, so there must be a viable solution out there already.
Allow me to butt in here. Interpretation of the letter of the law is more complicated than some people are making out here.
The way it's done is to use case law, which means you allow courts to try real-life cases using the new law and their decisions establish precedents of how the law will be...
Even though I get paid by Octopus for export (15p/kwh) at this time of year I begrudge it when during the winter I have to pay 32p to get it back, so I also sometimes let it charge to over 90% from the solar if there's surplus. Isn't there supposed to be a battery buffer so 100% isn't really...
I'm surprised they aren't required to provide evidence that a DVSA recall matter has been dealt with (at least to satisfy the DVSA if not the customer) - did you get a recall letter? If so maybe you can query it with them while at the same time dropping the dealer in.
I've never had the emergency brake trigger in my MG5, but it did it once in my previous car (Honda Jazz) - I was in slow traffic going round a roundabout close to a van and it suddenly applied full braking.
