Decided to remove the original post as unsure if there could be any legal implications if I provide additional information on how to modify internal vehicle settings.

Rapid Charging, Just how far must you drive before 50KW is seen?

I did some testing last week here in Norway to see what charging speed I would get with a car that has the latest BMS SW that fixed the cell imbalance issues. I am using the Thai MG EV app which shows the battery temperature. Outside temperature was 20 c and the car had not been driven very far...

Zero Range with Remaining SOC 6%!!!!

I was doing a test of ABRP last week and had run the car down to a remaining range of 26km. I plugged in at home to get the car to show the remaining SOC% which was 9%. I had put in a WayPoint in ABRP so I could charge at a 150kW charger to see what speed I would get, and also to check the...

EVNotify - Monitor your electric vehicle remotely

When do you think you may have a beta version available for testing? I am signed up as a Beta tester for EVNotify, so wondering if this will provide me with access to the version you are working on?

Everything you need to know about BMS & voltage balancing

Stuart/Miles, question about "Best Practice" to speed up balancing. As you know our dealer did the heavy lifting to balance to what they were told was an acceptable level before the car could be released. So the larger the imbalance the longer it takes. Dealer had one person doing this and I...

Everything you need to know about BMS & voltage balancing

Have posted in the other threads about latest BMS update. Car was collected from the dealer on Thursday and max voltage showed 449v but range in ECO with heater off was 285km (178miles) never seen such a high value before. BMS version is 0210622EU1 balancing took 4 hours and added 1kW prior to...

LED bulbs for MG ZS EV headlights

Yes it was the Night Breaker Laser I tried first. Apart from being much cheaper, I found the PIAA to be brighter and more white. The Kelvin rating for the PIAA is 3900K while the Osrams are 3200K What I have read is that bulbs with an output of 3500K or lower on the scale will have an amber...

LED bulbs for MG ZS EV headlights

Have a look at the HYPER ARROS from PIAA (HB3) I tried the Osrams and was not that impressed. I then tried the PIAA and they do a a much better job and were also a lot cheaper. Expensive "Trial and Error";)

MG ZS EV won't equalise (Aus)

Liz have a look at the MG EV's Community Podcast on YouTube from Monday the 1st February. There is a very good explanation of the balancing process and tips on how to do it provided by Miles Roberts. If you dont want to watch it all scroll to around the 1 hour 17 minute mark and you will hear...

    MG ZS EV upgrade

As I posted in the other "Facelift" thread the Indian ARAI-certified range of the outgoing model is 340kmthe if ARAI range is now increased tp 419km that would roughly equate to a WLTP range of 202miles/324km which would be a very useful increase, for the same size battery. Note that they use...

    ZS EV Facelift India

Looked at the specs for the older version and under the Indian system (ARAI) it was certified as 340km (212miles) versus a WLTP range of 263km (164 miles) if we use 419km (ARAI) then we are looking at WLTP figures of 324km and 202 miles, which would certainly be a useful improvement on what we...

    ZS EV Facelift India

From the launch video, there are no changes to interior or exterior styling. The battery is supposed to be new, with a max range of 419kms, but how that compares to WLTP no idea. Other changes are increased ground clearance and a different profile for the 17" wheels, 55 versus 50 that I believe...

    BMS update-Computer says “No”

Miles many thanks for the update on the BMS SW problem. Do you know if this negates any issues with the "Coldgate" battery heating option that was made available end of last year and range issue were in fact related to the BMS update?

    SCRUNCH at low speeds?

I have noticed a noise when using ACC and in very slow moving traffic. As you get nearer the car in front the car auto brakes and there is a clicking/crunching noise from the front wheels like the ABS being activated. I asked the dealer about it and they contacted MG in the Netherlands and they...

    Headlight bulbs

Can recommend PIAA, tried Osram but not as white as the PIAA. Had no problems with mounting them. Just be careful and remember how you took them out. Caps are rotated anti clockwise and then you flick them off by pulling on the plastic tag on the cap. Bulbs are removed also by turning anti...

    September sales

Total sold here in Norway in November was 664 cumulative Jan to Nov 3362. With a bit of luck could be 4000 for the year. This is double what the importer had forecast at the start of the year. Might be of interest to add that on Norways primary site for selling used cars FINN.no there are...

    Battery heater

I got this update on Friday, note that it resets everything. Total mileage and associated stats. are returned to zero. If you have set up your own equalizer its back to factory settings. Last one is the "*" button on the steering wheel it has to be set up for your previous choice. As for whether...
