Interestingly, ours came in two separate packages (no idea why), three days apart - initially I thought we'd been sent two but after laying out the bits it all made sense. They took about 8 weeks to arrive though, certainly not fast.

Fatal flaw in the plan, the Type 2 cable has two different connectors, male and female ;) That said, I reckon that I could make and sell them for circa £120 and still make a healthy profit, so at £180 EV cables are just being rude.

I let the manufacturer do it an ordered one of these, the only thing to do is change the resistor in the Type 2 plug (solder) and add your choice of Schuko, BS 1363 or CEE socket on the free end. I have also now seen people have bought second-hand Type 2 charge cables via ebay etc. and chopped...

A 420 to 470 ohm resistor, that's all. You can easily make one yourself, as I have done, for about 70€ - 80€ inc a brand new Type 2 plug and EV cable (from Ali) or you can pay EV Cabes something around 180€ to make one for you. This video will show you how to do it, if you're feeling adventurous:
