If you are looking to heat up the tank and won’t be drawing off hot water between the cheap rate hours then I can’t see how gas would ever be cheaper. If we take worst case that it takes a full 4 hours to heat up to the 130 degrees F (40 degrees C). At 5.5p per kWh that’s 5.5 x12 = 66p My guess...
