Ohme Home Pro has been good after almost a year. Don't be swayed by the display panel as it's a faff to usea and it's quicker to nip indoors and use the excellent app. Also, it's difficult to see the screen in bright daylight (mine is North facing). Support is good.
I stopped at M1 services on Friday evening near Milton Keynes and saw lots of men standing around a car park on the outer edges. It looked dodgy until I realised they were all waiting for the Tesla chargers!
I think the etiquette is the same as going to the bar to get drinks.
Our of curiosity what is the specification of the MG5 12v battery? I'm assuming they are smaller than those found in an ice car as it does not need cold crank amperage.
Also, along same lines as BarryH, running once in a while keeps the seals lubricated so that they don't dry out (assuming they haven't changed much in the last 15 or so years). Expensive repair otherwise.
After running the 5LR for 1400 miles since Jan 1st I visited a petrol station for the first time since then for our petrol Matiz. It felt distinctly backwards and old fashioned.
Has anyone else had that feeling?
Yes they did. It's the where the plug is located, I just didn't coil it up. It can be seen if zoomed in. I might relocate the holder as it's a bit crowded.
My Ohme Home Pro was installed today. It's not particularly pretty especially with the external distribution box that had to be fitted. It does the job.
I was looking at the BP Pulse with a monthly subscription and I was wondering if it is decent value and if they are reliable. Apparently it's the largest network of public chargers.
I too enquired locally, Camel, but was told there's a three month wait. So far I'm impressed with SmartHomecharge. Installation has been put back a week due to covid though.
Smarthomecharge is installing my Ohme Home Pro next Thursday, a turn around of two weeks from quote. I was expecting several weeks judging from other installers. Impressive.
I've just caught up with the Dispatches episode tonight and I'd say it was, overall, not concerning and alarmist at worst, misleading at best. The hybrid revelation of high VOCs was interesting but hybrids are a short term solution. The acknowledgement of the charging network as being a dogs...
Smarthomecharge came back with a quote quite quickly. I've gone with them as I wanted to get something ordered this week. Rightcharge said they'd quote in another 1 to two days time. In the end they were £2 cheaper and quote was a bit more detailed.
We ordered on 9th Nov but yet to complete the MG finance agreement until known delivery date (possibly Jan). The dealer has said that all is okay with £2,500 grant as it is registered.
It seems to have been a rather cack-handed decision and its implementation. Apparently, ozev wasn't able to give a heads up on this to users of their portal service that allows the grants to be registered, hence the grace period.
According to Fleet news...
"It says that it will allow dealers or vehicle manufacturers to claim for any orders that were placed by customers in the seven consecutive days before the grant rate change which were not logged on the portal.
This means that any orders placed by customers between...
I'm wondering what the resale or trade-in prices are like for people's MG ev's. Quite a few people here are trading in their ZS ev's for the latest ZS or 5 EV after only a year or two.
