Maybe what they should have is a bunker under the parking bay. So if an ICE parks up and the charger does not get used the vehicle is impounded I.e the offending vehicle is lowered into the bunker then another floor covers the bay to allow an EV to park and charge. A fine will then have to be...
Maybe a panic button in the charging apps? That once triggered switches said camera of location and informs the relevant police force? This would then allow the person feeling threatened to be safely in their car without the knowledge of the offender knowing they have alerted authorities.
I think this is literally down to real estate issues. I.e space needed versus space available. I believe the UK government should be negotiating with far more urgency with Tesla to allow access for other BEV owners. I also believe car manufacturers and motoring associations should also be...
If you felt threatened you should have called the police. That behaviour is uncalled for and completely unacceptable! If you were at a service station I am sure the police were not far away.
As I said I too am not happy with this guys behaviour and the blatant disregard for someone else’s property. But this seems to be common place which is very concerning, as I too would have been on the very point off switching them off! I am merely pointing out that something needs to be done to...
I think there is a point being missed here, once again it is the lack of charging stations that will cause more of these scenarios. As the more people purchase BEV the more people will need a charge. Whilst I completely agree this person is well out of order and I would have challenged him, but...
I think this points out that the GOM system needs more work. Maybe lowest range and highest range achieved over so many charges Being displayed along with current range would give the driver a better idea of where the range would sit. Just a thought.
Sorry it didn’t work but worth a try. Maybe contact dealer and let them know of the issue. It may well be a Bluetooth module fault on the infotainment system or even a software update. Just a thought does your phone have to be unlocked before it connects?
I believe most mobile phones once paired connect automatically to the stereo when unit is switched on. Check Bluetooth settings in your mobile to see if there is an option/setting to automatically connect. If not then you may need to disconnect the stereo from the Bluetooth on your phone then...
