Maybe you had a slightly defective battery. In any case, it's very easy to replace - the plastic case splits apart by prising open and you'll see the battery and housing. The case then snaps back together easily!

You're perfectly entitled to go to a non MG dealer for a service at any time as long as they use proper/approved parts and stick to the service schedule. That said, I have a feeling that the warranty is 7 years or 70k, whichever comes sooner, in which case you may be out of it anyway...

Which model car was this? I've never seen it and am on original key fob batteries (2020 MG5 pre FL) but an alert is more than useful as without this you're in a bit of trouble. As @Alb says, don't ignore it as a service may or may not check fob battery strength!

I agree - Google/Apple Maps or Waze also shows live traffic too which the Inbuilt SatNav never did. That said, I have sometimes made better choices myself than Google Maps has...

You can't set any charging parameter on the preFL, it's a dumb car. No disrespect intended, I've got one and am very happy with it! The only control you have is whether or not you plug it in, anything else needs to be done by the EVSE, app or otherwise

I IIRC you need to find the Ohme charger as a supported device, not the MG and then everything is controlled by the Ohme app rather than the car. Hope you can find that option in the IO page!

Agree with @Jomarkh - if you're doing regular distances you'll find out what you need to be adding overnight. 6hrs will give you c. 120m of range depending on a few variables. If your commute is less than that pd then you can adjust as necessary. Once you've set a schedule in the Ohme charger it...

Interesting theory. I always used to think I could reverse into a space pretty well but have had to readjust lots of times with the MG. Used the mirrors yesterday and all was fine! Maybe I'll try it from the LHS instead with an umbrella on the pedals... [joke]
