That's not the point of my post. I'm sharing a method of charging on a schedule with a granny charger.

I plugged my granny charger in to a smart plug. Worked perfectly charging on a schedule and never got hot.

Can understand your frustration. Particularly if you can’t have the MG4 as an alternative.
