Hmm, not so sure on this? I don't have this running permanently yet as I only downloaded the API onto my laptop to have a play with - but I do sometimes have it running for a few days at a time. I'm pretty sure it hasn't logged me out of the android app recently though? :unsure:

Yeah, I wondered if its a read only filesystem which you can only flash as a whole, less chance of it getting corrupted and bringing the whole unit down? It could be all settings are stored in other modules and just updated by the infotainment unit, which might explain the lack of profiles or...

I'm pretty sure the normal operation is when I get out of the drivers seat the rear doors unlock - is that right? I've noticed a few times recently when I've got out and tried to open the back door from outside to get something off the backs seat and it is still locked. I have to lock the car...

but do you see the playlist when connected with bluetooth? I must say I hadn't bothered with this as I normally use AA, but I've tried Spotify and Amazon this afternoon with a BT connection and they work fine but don't show any playlist to pick from. I've also tried a few different AVRCP...

Can you get the mirroring working in general just not netflix, or wont it work at all? I believe its all broken on Android 14, but mirroring works on my older phone - can't remember if I tried netflix but Sky Go doesn't let video be mirrored; youtube and iplayer mirrored ok.

It did work last year until Amazon changed the service so you can only get random play on Prime now. I think the unlimited service might work but like you I'm not willing to pay for that, I have spotify and that is fine with Android Auto.

Interesting as I had a similar problem with the temperature + control getting stuck in a long press condition, although this was using the on screen buttons - it would keep increasing to max whatever I did. There must be some common button handling control that gets stuck.

"Alexa, turn on car heating" - OMG, that could make life a bit easier, although there seems to be no easy way of checking it actually worked without opening the app which seems a bit pointless :D (although if I say it in the kitchen I'll see if the lights come on)

just remember the R number in that screen is only the infotainment software - so the display, camera, bluetooth etc. Anything to do with LKA, charging, regen etc is different software you cannot easily find the versions of

interesting stuff - I've got the MQTT streaming data, is that actually querying the car every minute by default? Won't that stop it "going to sleep"? edit - looks like it doesn't query the car that often while its powered down.

some tethered chargers have quite short cables - so make sure you are close enough before initiating the charge and then finding out the cable doesn't reach :D

I believe they just need the VIN to get details of what is installed and what updates are due
