Anyone else less than blown away? The top spec at £60k Seems ever so slightly faster than the mg4 xpower (0.4seconds 0 to 60) but almost twice the price. I know it's a halo spec car and priced for rarity but not for me at that money.

I think the challenge here is that there is no pricing on the MG, there are lots of rumours and lots of suggested pricing but nothing official. Until there is official pricing its just not a comparison. If it does come out near 60k+ then I agree with those saying it will be over priced, but...

i agree - all i wanted to see was a cheap and cheerful, simple, fun to drive - rear wheel drive electric two seater. what we seem to have (if the press is to be believed) is all of that ie. simple, rear wheel drive, but vastly over priced. there isnt a premium to be paid for electric cars...

Wow I can't believe how badly judged that position in the market is... I do love my mg5, and I was sold on getting one of these. But 50k+ is madness. No one is ever going to compare an mg to a porche, let alone of they do compare the two and find the porche is cheaper and then buy the mg...

The miles and power have been rumours for years now, unfortunately as they haven't released any details the media are doing their usual guesswork. I just hope they come out with some actual details officially sometime soon!

for me it entirely depends on the price. Id be very very tempted to get one as an addition to my current car if they keep the price down as it would be a lovely "toy", it wouldnt replace the practicality of the MG5 but if they do start playing in the £40/50k bracket then its not justifiable as...

It could be very interesting but to me the most critical aspect of this will be the price. There are plenty of flash, fast EVs about but they are 40k plus (kia ev6, obviously the T's, porche etc), for this to be a success I think the price is the most vital feature. If they can keep the price...
