You will never get 22Kw on the Type 2 connector as the system is single phase. 7Kw max.

Except unfortunately, a battery is not a linear power source. Taking power out faster reduces the total stored energy faster than at a slower speed. This addition energy loss outweighs any savings made from getting to the destination quicker resulting in reduced range.

I reckon this is not locking the car. I'd try turning off and locking. Seems to be the car saying "No Thanks" to the charger during the handshake. At MOTO in Rugby this week I opened the car and the charging session just stopped! It then restarted again. Never had that happen anywhere so I asume...

Always going to be bad at beginning and end. This is a typical curve of these batteries. I'm sure the software for the figures displayed on the dash makes some allowances for this but I dont think its totally linear. Which is why I always try and keep 10% in the tank to prevent sweaty hands...

Basically comes down to the cost difference between 1 and 3 phase chargers. They keep the price of the car down by saving money on things like this. That’s why I love the car though. The price/performance is just right for me.

EWD, can I ask what your advice was ref the front side tinting? What type of tinting was fitted? My installer told me that the front had the max legal tint already.

Could be worse, we could be in the group of people that have a button to open and close their boots. Imagine that!

On a recent 500+ mile journey I had the same problem with my arms!!! So I'm getting a tint (clear as apparently the tint is already at the max) fitted to the front and a privacy tint fitted to the rear with UV blocking adhesive to stop the UV getting to my skin. Im hoping this is correct...

Yes. This happened to me yesterday on A BP 50kw, the pulse ones. Got to 95% as an experiment so see what happens and the HV disconnected. I’m guessing the thermal cut out cut in. I had assumed that the car would request less amps as it approaches cut off, but no. Minor heart attack but 5 min...

Also, KERS 3 in circuit on say a motorway, will actually increase the current draw. You can see this if you switch modes whilst monitoring the Amps if you’re on a motorway cruising at say 70. So mode 1 for cruising and 3 for Milton Keynes roundabouts etc.
