I’ve given up the idea of powering up the house after black out, too complicated and expensive!
I’ll keep it simple with solar and battery with a separate plug socket, same sort of set up as @Ian Morton but my output would be far less, probably around 3kw with 6-9kw battery as I only wanted...
Am I right in saying this emergency socket is coming out of your battery? Is there a provision from the battery to install a socket to run power off it?

I was talking to another company re power back up from battery, he said I’d need to install a earthing rod , they’ll connect their Solis hybrid inverter via a separate consumer unit, he went on a little bit and he sounded like really easy, most went right over me to be honest?😆

Sounds like it may be a good idea to increase battery capacity while you order solar and battery.

I have just posted a comment on another thread, if I fit an emergency socket to the combi boiler, then at least I have heating and hot water to use.
Would the battery storage able to power two sockets, one for combi and another for fridge/ freezer.
Failing that, I’ll just use the MG V2L to power...
