This is the MG S9 forum. Best repost in the ZS EV forum. [ Edit moderator: done. ] It may indicate a " HV Fault " . Maybe diconnect the negative lead on the 12 volt battery for 10 minutes ? Reconnect the 12 volt and see if the fault clears .

Sounds to me that the 12 volt battery disconnect would have done the trick . Chances are, hopefully ,that the car would start by the time the dealer looked at it and they'd declare it OK . So maybe pointless waiting a month for that ?

I've had a similar issue with my 5 but the trusty 10mm spanner cleared the faults . I assume the breakdown guy would have tried that ?

If it has a full service history , it may be worthwhile checking the HV Battery State Of Health at the last recorded service . It should be on the service document

Is that from public chargers or only your home charger ? It should take 7Kw but I've come across a few that are slower than others . If it's a fault of the car surely you should be able to reject it ?

Doesn't sound quite right to me . I started my MG5 in lower temperatures than that , Sounds as though the brakes were seized from your description . Get in touch with the dealer would be my advice

I would suggest the BP Pulse charging station was at fault . I've used BP Pulse chargers on my MG5 ( pre facelift so probably the same charging system as yours ) mostly getting close to the advertised charging speeds . What was the state of charge when she began the charge ? If it was already...

You say you've tried 3 chargers with the same cable . Have you tried a different cable ?
