That wouldn't make any sense to switch to when the variable tariff would be capped at about 21p/kWh! You would be paying at least 10p more per kWh for normal hours usage!

You haven't got any network extenders at home (Homeplug or some sky boxes have them built in). They are known to stop EV charging due to interference on the mains. It might be worth turning off everything in the house briefly to see if it states charging, then gradually turn thing back on.

I believe they "reserve" £20 to cover the charge costs, then take the actual amount. It depends on your bank how this is shown, but they should only take the amount used.

You haven't accidentally moved the current setting in the app down from 32A have you? Basically you can rotate the current to any value below the 32A max. Finger on the circle and rotate.
