    Rear interior light

IIRC the tap is on the 12V input to the cluster rather than the individual light outputs, so using the on/off buttons make no difference - only the strip comes on with door opening and go off when all doors are closed.

    Decent rubber mats

And another (y) for the EVGOGO mats, we will have to see how they last with the family but the material seems pretty good. I was half expecting rigid foam-coated material like a garage mat but it feels more like rubber so hopefully will last well.

    USW300 sub installation

How did you get on @wylex4 ? I'm thinking of doing the same - I assume it worked well with tapping the speaker wires - are you happy with the sub? As a follow-up to this - I tried the USW300 direct to the high-level inputs, the pin out seems to be the same as the MG4 on the ZS EV MK2 - where...

    MG ZS EV Dashcam Hardwire.

Tested the fuses and are you getting 12v out? Sorry don't know much about hardwire cams but the video seems useful.

    MG ZS EV Dashcam Hardwire.

The plug - the tail should go out to the right if I’m not mistaken -looking at the Viofo video and the drawings earlier in the thread.

    MG ZS EV Dashcam Hardwire.

According to the Viofo install video on YouTube he mentions Mini so I bought Mini piggyback and fuses and they match on the mk2 ZS. The blue is the supplied 15a cigarette lighter socket.

White/black is switched and black is ground. Yes the crimp block has isolated traces to each wire. The crimp block is good for those small wires and self-pierced the cables the same as the LED connectors.

    Rear interior light

It’s in and working - waiting for the sun to go down. I used the double wire taps which worked great. One thing that made things easier was to use credit cards at the forward sides to release the side clips of the console unit. Thanks @N2STY for the pointers I had 1m 20 left out of 5m. Will...

    MG ZS MK2 cosmetic upgrades

I just tried a Rearmaster OBD but discovered that the OBD doesn’t go live when the car is opened like I would like, only when it’s started. Looks like I have to settle on the overhead lights and the underseat ones during the drive.

    Rear interior light

I’m thinking the same - contemplating a 4000k natural white colour vs 6000k Should be able to make a cable(s) to avoid the cutting of any existing wiring.

    MG ZS MK2 cosmetic upgrades

The USB-A does switch off after a short period when locking. The use-case would be unlock car->USB lights on to enter->power on & drive->exit car->lock->lights off. The USB-A stays on when the car is powered on. If you were lighting the car with a sunroof LED strip to the switched interior...
