The question was whether is was ok
Charging to 100 % on 7 kW home charger.
I think we all know it’s not a good idea to continually charge to 100% on rapid chargers, but don’t see the problem on a home 7kw charger. I do it every day.
I think what I’m finding is that after a load balance charge I can put it into Kers3 at 100%. But if I just do a charge to 100% without leaving it on to balance I get the same message as you when I try to put it in Kers3. At about 98% I can do it. So is it something to do with balancing the battery?
Les, found this very informative.
I do runs the Heathrow every day and like you have tried out every setting there is to try. Without a doubt though the temperature is very high on the the list that affects your miles / kw.
Early mornings (3am to 7am) I get 3.8 to 4.1 depending on settings...
I bought my MG5 exclusive 2nd hand when it had 8,000 on the clock. Bought it from an MG dealer and has just been serviced by them. When should I get it serviced again. Will a service message pop up?
Ok. I just wondered as I have noticed when travelling on motorways at 50 mph I get around 4.5 kw/m but travelling at 70 mph this comes down to about 3.6 kw/m.
Adding a bit more info to this.
MG5 SR
Costs
257.3kw with home charger @ 0.2283p/kW = £58.74
84KW using Bonnet using IONITY rapid chargers 25p/kw = £21
BP Pulse, Gridserve, and others = £21.16. I did not keep track of the KWs at these ones.
The rest of my charging was either done at my golf club...
