Ok, the mat arrived today, so about 2 weeks from order.
It is made of thick heavy rubber and looks durable. The fit is reasonably good, albeit not perfect. It was £42 delivered and looks like it is worth the money.
For anyone wanting the same, I ordered from carmats.co.uk:

Make sure you check whether the new part will need painting, I note you don't have body colour mirrors but I don't know what the default colour of the parts are and this might be needed before the garage can put the replacement on.
7W at 5V is 1.4A, which is not a lot. The phone may be drawing more of this with all that it is running at the same time. I would imagine the power to the front 2 USBs is shared.
12W is much more decent, 2.4A, which is the same as many basic USB chargers.
The 12V port supports a lot more...
Hi,
I'm struggling to find a good basic rubber bootliner for my Trophy with the floor in the raised position.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Many thanks.
My statement was an accurate description of industry norms. NMC is generally preferred for high performance due to its tolerance for much higher discharge rates.
LFP technology is evolving and it may displace NMC someday but it cannot match it yet. The XPower stresses even the NMC battery and...
I think we've lost the point here. I was simply responding to a question about mixing the MG batteries and motors.
If you want to promote LFP, go ahead, I have no objection.
They may do, but this is the MG EV forum and a question about MG's choices! 😂
Different makes will have different rationales. NMC is well known to be the choice for performance applications. That may be changing as LFP technology improves but it doesn't mean it wasn't the reason MG did it.
I am glad someone has looked at this as it is the obvious place to add storage and it is a shame MG don't have snap-in accessories to provide additional storage.
I do feel that the pedestal area is badly designed:
Pedestal takes up tons of space and encroaches on knee room yet is almost never...
Hi,
I am thinking of getting a wireless CarPlay device to avoid having to plug my phone in.
We often want to switch over between phones while driving, e,g. to listen to different music. Is there a device on the market that lets you switch phones seamlessly whenever you want to?
The car should charge the 12V battery whenever needed, not simply when the car is on or being charged.
There do seem to have been some bugs with this - which is why a few people have had a flat 12V battery every so often. So it may depend which updates the car has.
I've not heard anyone...
In theory the car will top up the 12V battery using the HV battery, so this will work.
In practice, however, the cheap 12V battery SAIC use has low capacity and isn't deep cycle and there seem to be bugs some people have in this top-up system that lead to a flat 12V battery.
We won't know...
