bc1.2 charging

**BC1.2 charging** refers to the **USB Battery Charging Specification Revision 1.2**, a standard defined by the USB Implementers Forum that specifies how devices can draw power over USB for charging.

It defines three types of USB ports:
- **SDP (Standard Downstream Port):** Up to 500 mA (USB 2.0) while supporting data.
- **CDP (Charging Downstream Port):** Up to 1.5 A while supporting data.
- **DCP (Dedicated Charging Port):** Up to 1.5 A for charging only (no data).

BC1.2 also defines how devices detect these port types using the USB data lines to safely negotiate charging current.
