mg3

The MG 3 is a German general-purpose machine gun chambered for the 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge. The weapon's design is derived from the World War II era MG 42 that fired the 7.92×57mm Mauser round.
The MG 3 was standardized in the late 1950s and adopted into service with the newly formed Bundeswehr, where it continues to serve to this day as a squad support weapon and a vehicle-mounted machine gun. The weapon and its derivatives have also been acquired by the armed forces of over 40 countries. Production rights to the machine gun were purchased by Italy (MG 42/59), Spain, Pakistan (MG 1A3), Greece, Iran, Sudan and Turkey.

    Antenna location?

    Petrol cap

    The petrol cap on my MG3 has been stiff to turn for a while now, but yesterday try as I might I couldn't relese it. I asked a burly builder filling up next to me and he really struggled to undo it. Has anyone else had this problem and any suggestions how to fix it.

    Key Fob

    My sister-in-law has a MG3, and her key fob is somewhat large, but acceptable since it is mountable on a keychain. Do any of the fobs for the other models garner any complaints? OTOH, the IM6 fob is just a black blob. I guess one would call it minimalist, I call it terrible. There is no way...

    My HS PHEV was in getting some damage repaired that someone else caused, and I was given an MG3.
