roadside assistance

Roadside assistance, also known as breakdown coverage, is a service that assists motorists, motorcyclists, or bicyclists whose vehicles have suffered a mechanical failure that either cannot be resolved by the motorist, or has prevented them from reasonably or effectively transporting the vehicle to an automobile repair shop. Roadside assistance employees respond to calls for service to inspect the vehicle and attempt to render appropriate repairs. Roadside assistance may be provided by departments of transportation, automobile associations, vehicle insurance providers, or dedicated roadside assistance organizations.

Car completely dead - eventually, AA called out

I parked the MG4 in the Marina Car Park and headed out onto the canal in our Narrowboat. A week later, we returned and went to load up the car for the journey home. The car was completely dead, didn't respond to any attempt to open the doors. Guessing that somehow the 12V battery had failed, I...

2024 Long Range Trophy charging issue

Yesterday, I drove to Birmingham and back from north Hampshire. My first challenge was getting the Blink app to recognise that I'd connected it to my car, as that was the charging solution in my car park of choice. Having locked the car and walked away, I found 4 hours later, that it had stopped...
