£34,000 RRP for the new and improved XPower?

Agree. But perhaps they don't like going in too cheap straight away. Makes them seem even more of a bargain with the discounts. 🤷‍♂️
Yes, it's all about us thinking we're getting a bargain, when in fact we're only getting it at the real price when we get the discount. Psychology at it's best. 😂

The reduction in RRP is useful for attracting business car use as the Benefit in Kind value is calculated against RRP and while BiK is still very low on EVs, it is increasing at 1% each year from April (currently 3%)

If they can stand these discounts may as well just go super agressive on pricing in the first place.
Usually cars with big discounts when new impacts on their future resale value. So then it's harder to make them a good deal on PCP deals (because a big part of the deal is what the car will be worth in x years time), it's something the German's got a hang of early on and something the Italians and French shot themselves in the foot with.

You can obviously off-set it with 0% deals - but that eats into your margin too.
