Me and my wife recently took a trip/holiday to Scotland in my ZS Hybrid +.

The trip started from Stourbridge West Midlands to Cockermouth, Carlisle, Fort William, Fort Augustus, Inverness, Carlisle again, Liverpool and finally back to Stourbridge.

We did the trip over 5 days, covered 1034 miles and did this whilst being in the car for 26 hours.

Here are a couple things I learned on the way about the ZS Hybrid +.

First thing in the morning the car revs more for the first 10 minutes until the engine was warm this was due because the heater was on all the time at 25 degrees.

Every time I started the car I disabled front collision assist and driver attention warning system (coffee cup). Also I enabled IACC which I used about 80% of the journey.

The car loves speed and on the motorway I set the IACC between 60-65 mph and the electric kicked in when the battery was full.

It only over reved up to 4000 revs twice, once on an incline heading to Cockermouth and the other time on the A833 by Loch Ness. The A833 is a big hill and I caught slow traffic which could only manage to do 15 mph up the hill, then the car hit a maximum of 4000 RPM but I didn’t lose power/acceleration.

If I did 30-40 mph on an incline/hill the car didn’t over rev going up.

Overall I’m very happy with the car and how it performed over the 5 days. I put £128 into the tank and managed a total of 52 mpg.
