HI All,

My Rolec charger suffered the same fate as many others (tripping out) and sure enough the RCBO was toast. Replaced with a GARO GRC 40 RCBO and plugged in; all's well? No. Charged to 100% OK, went on drive, came home, plugged in but now car will not charge. Tried granny cable; no joy. As suggested her undid neg battery terminal, left 15 mins and re-connected to 're-boot' car, again no joy.

All I get is the blue chevrons under charging flap (but NOT indicating full charge) and dashboard graphic indicating full charge but only 69%. Can anybody help?

Think the Rolec has caused a charging error that may only be able to be cleared by the dealer. Before given up might be worth playing with the charge percentage set slider in the car and setting that to about to 70% and then try and charge in the hope that this may get things back in sync

Face lift ZS EV model I assume here ?.
LR or SR ?.
Do you have a delayed / scheduled charge set up in the App or in the head unit ?.
Is it a Rolec dumb wall box or Rolec smart wall box ?.

Sounds like either the car or the chargers aren't recognising the actual battery capacity.

Thanks all above for your responses. So the reakl cause was an OTA software update that co-incidentally occurred at the same time as I replaced the RCBO. The upgrade automatically resets the charge to 60%. This is why the car would not charge as it was already 69% charged. TonyP was dead on, however as I had never used this function before and at the time I did not realise the connection. I had forgotten about this until today when the same thing happened, sure enough something had updated and the charge had reset to 60%!

Does anybody know why anyone would buy a longer range vehicle and then deliberately reduce the range, especially as we have been advised that the car should be kept fully charged as far as possible?

I have wondered that ?

So the real cause was an OTA software update that co-incidentally occurred at the same time as I replaced the RCBO.
? But we've established that OTA updates don't affect things like BMS, only the entertainment system. As far as I know, it doesn't calculate a SoC, it just displays a value it finds on the CAN bus put there by some other ECU, and that other ECU can't get OTA updated.

Do you mean you had a BMS update at a dealer that roughly coincided with the RCBO replacement?
