Hi,

Hitting tire wear indicator on the factory China Michelin Pilot Sport 4 235/45 R19 tyres at 45000km, I’m considering upping to 255/40 R19 on the factory rims, to get better rim protection since the 235s are stretched on the factory rims. Anyone else tried it? I just rotated the tires so I have 2 to 4 months until i get them all to the indicators.

Hello! Have you fitted a different tire size on your MG Marvel R? Did everything fit correctly, and have you had any issues with the safety systems (ABS/ESP, TPMS, ACC, lane keep, etc.)? I’m considering 245/45 R19 on the factory 19” 8.5J wheels—does this size work without rubbing or warning messages? Thank you!

Hi!

I did fit KUHMO Ecsta PS71 255/40 R19 on factory wheels in front to verify that it wouldn’t rub on a week (didn’t rub) and then put it on back, still running the factory China Michelin Pilot Sport 4 in front now.

Looks better for my liking on the 8.5 wheels, comfort is even better, the only thing would be tire rollover side to side if you send it hard.

This said, 245/45 will not be into the tolerance, and you might risk rubbing.
