Over the weekend, the ACC/Speed Recognition and LKA system has become unavailable.

Cleaned the windscreen/radar - there's no misting in the windscreen camera area and it's still not coming up. I have just hit 2.5k miles and from what I've seen on FB forums that seems to be a magic figure for this to happen!

I've got it booked in on Friday for them to investigate. I've mentioned that some people have seen this and needed a software update, but we'll see if the garage (MG Gloucester/Baylis) know anything about it.

Yes it is a software problem. There is a cure but it may cause your star keys on the steering wheel to stop functioning as on mine and many others. I am still waiting for a further update to cure the latest issue.

As said - most likely a software issue (see the software thread).

The first update for me brought back the ACC and road sign recognition but lost the star keys.

Second update brought back the star keys. All fine since (fingers crossed I haven’t just jinxed it!).

MG Banbury (Evans Halshaw) did one update and kept the car in for a second night to do the second update after obtaining it from MG.

Any delay in getting both updates done may be down to the dealer, perhaps….

So they were unable to do the software update for some reason. Got to wait a couple of weeks now as their engineer is off on holiday now. So when he gets back they’ll raise a ticket with the technical team in China and get the car back in.
