Not an MG
Hello everyone,

I finally got an mg zs hybrid+ standard (base model). The overrall driving experience is very nice. For it me it makes other cars like yaris cross so overrated.

Anyway , i am annoyed by speed alerts . Where i live the speed limit signs are not perfectly organized and the cars often wrongly assumes i am still driving in a 60km/h road and starts making annoying beeps (couldn't figure out how to silence them immediately).

The ELK also seems annoying.

Right now i only figured out sliding gesture on the top of screen for an ELK icon and i can disable it after a confirmation message. I also can access the vehicle sub menu via the favorite shortcut in the steering wheel to disable the adas funtions i don't like . Quite better, but it's still annoying to have to do everytime i start the car and sometimes i forget.

Have you figured a way to dumb down the annoying features while keeping the useful ones and other ways of quick disabling (even while driving) ?

Thank you

Unfortunately, the having to reconfigure every time after restart is an EU law, so no chance to legally disable something altogether. In the newest MG software in their eclectic ES5 next to the ELK symbol there is also a quick toggle for speed recognition beep when you swipe down, so fingers crossed this could come to the ZS as well at some point through a software update. Some car manufacturers (Renault Group, Peugeot) also have a "personalized ADAS" button that lets you save your personal combination of what is on and what is off, you still have to press it every time after a start but a lot more pleasant and quicker than having to go through menus and select everything one by one; In theory MG could add this as well as a swipe down soft button, or even somehow let us save it to one of the star buttons. But this now is pure wish thinking.

I totally agree. It would be very good to have one of the favorite buttons switch back immediately to your favourite ADAS settings.
