Anyone get emails from Solis today regarding their inverter?

Ok. Had my solar install combined with my Dyness 10.2 battery, all doing what they are meant to do, no issues, but today have had 3 emails from Solis, 2 thanked me for contacting them and gave me a number for the contact, ( I did not contact them), the 3rd told me my software had been updated and I could now use Solis AI. Anyone else had these?

We have two Solis inverters too (must be an East Anglian thing), have had no contact from them, but wouldn't expect that as we intentionally don't send any of our data to China, tyvm. In fact I don't think Solis would have any knowledge of our use of their (excellent) inverters anyway.

Solis AI is a "thing" that was launched last autumn to try and predict weather patterns, home usage patters to optimise best use of charging / export etc.

No idea if it works well - unlikely IMHO

One of the first things I did, I’m ultra cautious of emails, texts etc, address checked out.

Makes me think, I’d clicked on the Solis AI button a few weeks ago and was informed I would be assessed for suitability so maybe that’s it.

I’m not into the whole AI thing but it seems the whole Solis AI thing is basically what I’m doing, I look at the weather forecasts and plan ahead accordingly.

It’s giving me options of what I want to achieve, also can be turned off so I’m not locked in. We shall see.

Word of warning, I would not recommend turning on that EMS AI feature. Just noticed on a day when the sun is cracking the cobbles my PV production was less than a Kw.

Been on with my dealers tech support who tell me that it has reset all the Solis settings and even though I'd turned it off that would not change the settings back, they are doing that from their end.

All sorted thanks to dealer support, I will net be touching that EMS management option again I can tell you, for now. things back to normal.
