Work still in progress but this is the sleep platform unfolded from the boot area, bridging the nearside folded rear seats and supported on the folded front seat. The latter part slides out of the centre section.
I think I’ll pay a visit to ikea tomorrow to check out cushions/ mattress toppers for the sleep mat. I have an air bed but I want to investigate what else might be available. View attachment 36125View attachment 36126

An Ikea yoga mat is just about the perfect size and folds up beautifully for stowage. If one isn’t so comfortable I can always double up with another. Then there’s the added benefit of practicing the Cobra, the wheel or the cat whilst I meditate on life.

Oh, they are, they really are.

My missus went walking there and loved it so much she brought home a painting of them which hung over our fireplace for over a quarter of a century! We are now in the process of remodelling (as the Americans say) the lounge and the TV is going there, much to my disgust. But we will find somewhere else to put it.

We've been back a few times since she bought the picture and seeing the Cuillins in all their majesty quite simply takes your breath away.

It's one of the sights of these wonderful lands of ours that I will remember till my dying day.

Many, many years ago on a mountain bike did a similar accidental trick with a sheep fence, only myself made it to the other side, much to the amusement of my mates. Well before cameras on phones thankfully.

Aye I’ve got to admit he made a grand job of that film. Actually he just beat me to it. I had planned the very self same route on an old post office bike but my supplier let me down with delivery of the extra voluminous underwear garments.

If you are saying the TV is going above the fireplace, or anywhere high, my plea to you would be just don't do it. Looking up at a TV for any length of time will give you neck ache. There is a reason why theatres, cinemas, stadiums, colosseums or wherever you look or watch something is always angled down. For a TV it should be at eye level for comfortable viewing. As you can possibly tell I am quite passionate about this subject. If your TV is more ornament and not used often or for long then you may get away with it.
A high TV position can cause neck strain and discomfort and the viewing angle can sometimes affect picture quality, making the image appear less crisp or vibrant.

Yeah. I know. But it's little old me (OK, huge old me) against the rest of the family.

I'm against it, partly because the wiring is a pain in the glass...but mostly because for me, it's too high up.
