Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

In France for your model , dealers want around 70% the original selling price, so what they offer the existing owner is anyone's guess. Having said that the original price has dropped 8000 euros in the last year for a new one.

Jumped in the flash mobile and asked for Morrison’s by Waze. The only Morrison’s she knew was in Ottawa a bunch of thousands of miles to my west, was that the one I wanted ? No said I, the one over at Alloa will be fine. After arguing with electronics I asked for just plain Alloa. So she’s taken me to Clackmannanshire.
Ye cannae win.
Crappy menu. I plumped for a breakfast (all they seemed to do)
Lorne (flat) sausage- says it all - 😢

I asked Google for Sainsbury's at Straiton.

Yes, you guessed it. Sainsbury's at Streatham.

I used to enjoy the Scottish sliced breid.
I used to like the thick heel or end slice from a plain loaf. I was always confused as a kid. My Mum would ask me to collect a half loaf of the aforementioned bried. It was never referred to as a loaf - always a half loaf. The hours of my young life I wasted worrying over the fate of the other half 😢. Now as I make all my own bread I can cut it as thick as I fancy. I spread a bit of marg and Marmite or, currently, Vegemite, and have both halves of the loaf for myself 🙄🤩

I used to be absolutely addicted to the stuff, importing it into England in bulk when I lived there. This is basically from when I was quite a small child, sneaking the "outside" of the loaf and so on. Some years ago I either lost the taste for it, or the loaves weren't so good. I never buy it now.

Aye they don’t make it like they used to 🤩 I’ve gone over to home made stuff this entire century so far. Started about 1998

I had an amazing one from the Co-op here when I was househunting, it had a Co-op own brand wrapper. But once I'd actually moved here I never saw that again, just the usual Mother's Pride, and within a few years I'd pretty much gone off it.

I've been making, if you call throwing the ingredients into a machine making, my own bread for a few years too.

As I sit here I can smell the just made malted wheat loaf's aromas mixed with fresh coffee with the odd greyhound fart thrown in. It's a hard life being retired.

Deep joy 👌

Never happy

I never heard the electric car
As it whispered up behind
I gave that driver such a curse
When he said he wasn’t blind
He said he’d seen me stumble
As I stepped into has path
That I looked a little tipsy
But that just fuelled my wrath
If he drove a real combustion car
I’d have heard him as he missed
He could have sailed on up the road
Leaving me inebriated - get the gist ?

Driving in my EV
Ozzy on full blast
When I saw a drunkard
I was about to past
Left and right he staggered , and to my lament
As I reached him , he left the pavement
Such language , never have I heard
Some strange Scottish dialect
An ICY rant. but I may have misheard
He called me this, I called him that
Both agreed he should get mirrors on his hat.
