Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

Who is telling them this nonsense? My friend is a bloody nuclear physicist, and didn't seem to have had the nous to realise that it was a non-starter on first principles.

There you go, you see, very intelligent people can also be stupid.
I’m stuffed on both counts so I’m easily led

Many of my friends are phizzingly unclear about how much money they’re wasting let alone planetary resources.

Just to complete the story of our little trip yesterday.
Start of day 100% SOC and GOM 346 miles :ROFLMAO: (WLTP is 302)
Visited Richmond and had a wander round the castle. Free as we are English Heritage members but £10 for paying public. Not worth half that to be honest, it's a field inside an old castle curtain wall, and that's it. Had a nice coffee at The Kings Head Hotel on the market square. Interestingly the coffee arrived with 3 Maltesers each.
Anyways off we go to Tan Hill, and a little way out of Richmond the turn off we needed was closed and a diversion took place. Looked at the map and there aren't many roads out these parts, but it turned out OK. Lovely trip with some nice narrow roads and little villages.
Arrived at The pub and it was heaving, could barely get in the door. So we went outside, sat in the car and I booked a table online for 15 minutes time, walked in and proudly claimed I had a booking. They did very well and found us a perch on a large table that we shared with a hotelier from Durham out for the day with some Austrian friends. A lovely little chat ensued.
By the time we finished eating, time had passed so we decided to go home rather than do more wandering and we headed for the quick and not scenic route A66 then A1M south to Wetherby etc. Approx 90 miles.
Finally got home with an incredible 47% left in the tank having done 171 miles at an average of 4.8 miles/kWh, remaing GOM 156 miles  . The journey home was 87 miles and achieved 5.6 miles / kWh, the ACC was set at 67mph all the way on the fast bits. This car is fantastic for efficiency.
Some pictures. First two are the castle and Richmond market square.

Impressive economy from that car. Loved the story and pictures.
Is this becoming a travelogue forum 🤩🤩

Oh no Stellantis models being recalled for potential fire problems. What will I do this is feeding right in to the nay sayer’s bucket. Loads of cars to be recalled after loose bolts seem to have caused fires on a bunch of cars on the continent. That’s shocking I hope Berlingo is not on the list.
Yes honestly they’ve discovered that fires have been breaking out in some cars because of loose pipework in the fuel syst ………… 😉🤣

I thought you were going to mention this which is causing quite a hoo ha at the moment, leaving people without a car for months

RECALL CAMPAIGN - TAKATA AIRBAG Stellantis UK announces an immediate stop-drive action for all Citroën C3 (second generation) and DS 3 (first generation) vehicles manufactured between 2009 and 2019 equipped with Takata airbags. Owners of such vehicles should immediately cease using their vehicle when safe to do so.

Aye I’m glad I don’t own Takata.
