Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

Black coffee in Saucy Sue’s while Berlingo enjoys a few Watts having just come

🎵 over the bridge to Skye 🎶
Please imagine that for yourselves as I can’t sing for hazelnuts, pecans or in fact any sort - love eating ‘em all though 😂

Breakfast was just after six. It was merely a weee carton of porridge with a banana and half a cup of coffee.
Then a fine coffee in Saucy’s hotel on Skye.
I then drove with renewed vigour to my current location, just at the turn off for the Bealach over to Applecross.
There’s a very fine.cafe and I found it impossible to head over the hill without a visit.
As I shall have the arduous task of pitching the tent I elected to prepare first. The first thing I saw on the menu was was scrambled eggs and salmon - no contest - lovely.
Early lunch I know but it is a heavy tent and a chap needs all the strength he can muster.
What? of course it required black coffee accompaniment 🤩

You eat well outdoors mate, impressive. (y)
Ah yes but it might be a tin of haggis and yet another packet of some weird rice tonight, albeit with a garnish of sliced banana and a sprinkle of hazelnuts ? Who can tell ? The daft chef went off on the bike last night, the chain came off, got attacked by a tiny wee dog that hates bikes with a vengeance. Fine with the rider just anti wheels 🥴.
Strong winds overnight. I hastily nipped round revising my decision not to bother with too many pegs and guy lines. However peace, quiet and sunshine appear to have returned out there. I may be forced to arise from my new fisherman’s folding bed/chair camp bed thing which I’m liking a lot. It was fine in the cramped confines of the car but awfully comfortable with a bit more space in the carpeted luxury of the master bedroom of the tent 🤣 I slept like a log.
I hope you noticed the Otter road sign in my picture ? It’s so peaceful here I’m sure that despite my tinnitus I heard one fart but it’s possible it was one of the motorcyclists camped over the field a bit. I can’t complain, they roared off half an hour ago.
OK “porridge for one was it?”

Having the bike is a game changer, isn't it. (You slept so well you were posting at 4.12 and 4.30 am, according to the forum?)
Yes but that was good for me 🤪 I was supremely comfortable though and it’s hit or miss if I get much of a signal.

It might be a messy camp but it’s my messy camp. And it’s all paid for 😂. AFAIK ??

Just heading to the Walled Garden for lunch.
Redeployed solar panels to grab a bit more. A bit Heath Robinson but was down to about 40 and already at 70 and will rise as the sun tracks.

I liked the beware otters sign......never seen one before, especially in Bucks!
What a chore to wake up to that view! ....enjoy yourself. Nice lifestyle sort of EV nomad.
The fisherman's camp bed looks good too, more comfortable than your original when you got the Berlingo.
