Archev's adventures in the Berlingo

The two batteries combined output is 3096 Watthours and have all sorts of outputs. Three pin sockets, USB and cig. Lighter sockets and can jump start cars etc. I’ve just wrapped up the bike so can’t see the batteries at present.

I think the very biggest e-bike batteries are 800 watt-hours. So that should handle a bike quite comfortably. I had wondered how you were arranging that part. Tha an rothair-dealan aig Eairdsidh a' ruidh air solas na grèine.

Love it, none too sure if I could say it, but it would make a fine statement on a bike frame 🤩

Going for a sail on Loch Katrine tomorrow, to complement the cycle trip a couple of weeks ago.
It’ll be a grand sail in weather like this. Last time I was there it was drizzling and blowing a Hoolie and I still enjoyed the whole trip. It’s a Bonny splash of water in some beautiful mountain scenery, enjoy.

It says, "Archie's e-bike runs on sunshine."

We waited till we could see the whites of the eyes of the weather forecast. This time last year we did the West Highland Line to Mallaig, stayed overnight there, and the return trip the following day. I had a fine time at Loch Katrine a couple of weeks ago when the weather was nothing like this.

I remember many years ago being on the Sir Walter Scott in midsummer in the middle of a heatwave, and being unable to find any shade at all that wasn't occupied by grown-ups, and watching the bits of my legs that had already peeled turning lobster-coloured again. I was probably about eight or nine.

What do you mean, this is Scottish sunshine I’m talking here sir. It happens so rarely we need to collect as much as possible. We used to use it to dry the peat for the fire, now we cut out that stage and make the porridge on the pure sunshine we gather when the opportunity arises.

Aye I’m talking last year on the less impressive non steam vessel. It was still grand and my much older knees were OK.
