Anyone else think it's odd that the first time DT attends the correspondents dinner someone tries to shoot him?

He's quoted as saying he "'wasn't worried." Is that because he planned it to take attention away from his failure in Iran?

Whoever planned it didn't plan it very well..........

Thanks Terry

We had a taste of what is to come a few years ago when Storm Arwen took away our electricity supply for 6 days in November 2021. Nothing worked apart from the BT landline into which I plugged an old analogue telephone to contact family and friends outside the affected area. News was available only on an old, battery-powered Sony radio with long-wave which would receive BBC Radio 4 on 198 long-wave. Unfortunately, the London-centric BBC had nothing to report on more than 10,000 people in the North-East of England with no electricity for 6 days

The next major loss of power or communications will leave a lot of people with absolutely no idea what to do as their whole digital world will simply and instantly disappear.

BT took away my analogue phone capability last year. So the option to plug in an old phone doesn't even work any more.

I do have the capability to live off my solar, supplemented by bringing in power in the car from outside the power loss zone if necessary/possible. But it relies on having heating oil in the tank as I couldn't heat the house that way.

He certainly didn't, if it wasn't for the MAGA faithful, he wouldn't have gotten away with the fake 1st attempt either .... I mean, look at any photo and see if that ear that was hit with a bullet looks like there is a piece missing or not ......

How can someone who lives in his own dream world think he could get away with that sort of B/S twice .....

It will just focus more attention on the thinks he is trying to divert attention from .... will it morph into the IRAN - ESPSTEIN files now, and that covering up his plundering of the treasury into his own family fortune .....

Interesting to see after he shafted one of his biggest crypto investors, the value of the DJT Crypto is worth a fraction of the money he thought he had collected with his back handed deals ......

Yet to see if all that glitters is gold, and if it does, where did it come from?

Just found this on t'internet:

An Aussie reply to Trump’s rant about ‘NATO not being there for us’:

“Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage.

You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail.

Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gun maker's stock to your mates.

Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you.

And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again.

And you're calling Greenland poorly run?Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.

"NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.

And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your motor mouth.”

And it is starting

The question is, where does the USA find the money to lend these countries on this virtual bond buying method of slowing the interest rate climb? Will the rich and powerful in the US buy even more favours by buying treasury bonds? It is their interest (no pun intended) to keep market borrowing costs as low as possible .... or is it already at the point the big producers of goods sold to the domestic market, are see those sales fade away because the domestic economy is already broken?

The death of the little people, those that don't own anything, can't convert it to cash to buy hard assets like real gold, not gold bonds, copper, silver .... if they own their house, they at least have a roof over their head, if they don't, the rise of the motorhome parking lots, clogged streets, farmers paddocks being taken over, failed factories being filled with the homeless.
They aren't necessarily jobless, they just can't afford the rent or house payments.
Those that borrowed heavily to buy property to cash in on the rental market, will lose it all.
If enough of those at the bottom get sick and tired of the top end of town walking on them ..... then it all falls apart
