AVM System Failure

Hey all! I recently noticed that on my MG3 Essence/Luxury Hybrid, there has a been a notification on the 360 degree camera stating "AVM System Failure". When this happens, the camera that is affected is either completely blacked out or has lines on the infotainment screen (Apple CarPlay screen). Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

I would say contact the dealer.
All this technology too much to go wrong. Give me spark plugs, distributer and coil. Could take an engine out strip it down put back in and then have dinner. Now takes me an hour just to find the dipstick.

Thanks Evor, I’m doing that later today when they open, just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this before 😁😁

My money is on a duff camera.

My rear camera kept showing a blue screen for nearly a year.
After 2 dealer visits it was sorted finally at my first service!!!

Hello @Telia, I have the same problem and my camera has be changed but the issue is still here ? How your dealer fixed that ? The problem never came back?

Hey Namori, I took it to the dealership/service centre and they plugged it back in for me, as the cable was loose.
Thanks for your feedback, I said to my dealer the issue come with a loose cable but he said to me isn't the problem :(
 
Oh! What’s the diagnosis, if it’s not a loose cable?
I don't know 😞 the problem is still here, they did an upgrade on the MG software but it doesn't work, I have no idea where is the issue. Sometimes the camera works but I don't know why...
 
Hi. My rear camera is doing exactly the same. It shows blue all the time. The dealer have replaced the camera but it’s still not working. I am waiting for them to book it in for a couple of days to investigate it further.
Has anybody had this and had it fixed?
 
I've just got my MG4 and have this issue. I'm booked into the dealership next week. I'll post the outcome.
So, update.

Spent the day at the dealership. (7-30-am to 3pm) outcome ? thought they'd fixed it, but driving it back to the forecourt, it came back !!

Now booked in for 4 days in mid November (having a service at the same time.) the saga continues.
