thanks a lot, this is good news for people will to add a dashcam. I noticed that 12V battery voltage went 14V->12V->14V in the few days I have it. It will be while till i put up dashcam but I will count on this info when I decide what to buy.

14V will be a charging voltage, not the battery voltage.

“The stored energy is held in batteries in DC form.” this is not true. The energy stored in the battery is chemical energy. DC only exists when there is a flow of energy. Think battery like a lake no current, cables like river have current.
